About us
FOURTHANE was founded by Cecil Fourt in 1996, developing an innovative product for conveyor belt repair.
After a process of analysis and testing in mining operations, the product marked the beginning of Fourthane’s conveyor belt repair product line and laid the foundation for the development of a range of new products. Thus, in 2015, the first product of the Silver plant lining series was launched, giving rise to this new range of linings.
Currently, the company offers a wide range of products and services focused on maintaining, protecting, and repairing conveyor belts and concentrator plant equipment (SAG mills, ball mills), strongly committed to excellence in its operations while always prioritizing safety and quality.
Fourthane products represent the greatest technological innovation of the past thirty years, a testament to this being their recognition in 2012 as Chile’s top industrial innovation. The Avonni Awards seek projects that enhance quality of life through ideas that are distinctly Chilean.
In 2013, it was also awarded by Pro-Chile (the Foreign Relations Institution responsible for promoting the country’s product and service exports), receiving recognition from this significant institution as a model Chilean company, earning the title of ‘Innovative Entrepreneurship’.
In 2009, Fourthane sent a well-received signal to the world by expanding its operations abroad. It achieved great success in the major global mining markets and now boasts a presence in over 50 countries.
